We will be performing some quick emergency maintenance to the USA SQL Server – MSSQL01. We are replacing the RAM in this server with new higher-end RAM due to the current RAM being older and out of date. We are seeing occasional issues with the current memory in the Windows event which is why we are replacing the memory, while the server is out of the rack for the RAM swap, we are also taking this chance to install the new Ivy Bridge Intel Xeon processor we received for it. All this will help boost SQL Server performance, we are sure everyone will be happy! We expect this to take up to 15 minutes.

Unfortunately we were unable to complete this upgrade. We are not able to determine the cause, however the server is very unstable with the memory and CPU (or one or the other).
We have restored the server to its normal operation and we will be investigating the cause of the instability for a later upgrade.
