Upcoming Data-Center Electrical Maintenance

Level 3 has notified us of upcoming emergency maintenance to the electrical system that provides AC and DC power to our cabinets. The upgrade to the electrical system will allow larger capacity power circuits and improve the stability of the power being delivered to our cabinets.

We will be shutting down our servers at 5PM MDT to allow ample time for the servers to fully shutdown before we disconnect our APC power control units from Level 3’s power grid. We will have 2 technicians who will remain in the data-center until they are given the all-clear by the electricians to restore power to our cabinets and start bringing the servers back online.

This emergency announcement comes at a great time as our network is expanding rapidly with the growth of our cloud-based hosting platform.

Scheduled Date: 10-03-2015
Scheduled Time:
 11:00 PM – 1:00 AM GMT
Max Outage Duration: 2 Hours

Level 3 has allocated a 2 hour window to complete this however they are confident the maintenance should take no longer than 1 hour. During this time our entire Denver, Colorado location will be offline. This includes all shared hosting, email hosting, VPS, dedicated servers and TeamSpeak. Our routers, switches, servers and all other equipment within our cabinets will be fully powered down. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support department.

Thank you for choosing ASPnix!
