MySQL Servers – Now With SSL Secured Connections

We are very pleased to announce that our shared MySQL servers now support SSL secured connections. Users can now make SSL secured connections to our MySQL servers for secured communications between remote clients such as Navicat to our MySQL servers. Users can also enable / disable requiring SSL connections through our Windows web hosting control panel, by clicking the “Require SSL” check box. This is perfect for users who host billing databases, client personal information and other types of sensitive information and access their database remotely for backups, management and updating.

To connect through SSL please check if your client supports it (such as Navicat – which fully supports SSL) and then contact our support department to receive the files required to make the secured connection. Please make note of which MySQL server you are assigned to so that we may give you the proper files.

Thank you again for choosing ASPnix as your web hosting provider!
