Level 3 has notified us of upcoming maintenance to their network that will affect our upstream circuit for our Denver, Colorado location. Below is a summary of the maintenance notice we’ve received from them.
Level 3 will implement scheduled maintenance as part of a global standardization project taking place over several months in 2015, across multiple locations, to consolidate the VPN backbone. This project will improve performance for customers allowing for more optimal routing and a less complex operating environment. This maintenance will also include a software upgrade to add enhanced features as well as increase reliability and long term stability. Within this simplified environment, we will be able to provide quicker resolution of trouble issues and improved service delivery timelines. Because this project is consolidating a complex area of our network, a longer outage duration will occur when work is being performed on these devices.
