This evening we will be performing maintenance on our network as well as our router. This maintenance will affect our Denver, Colorado location, all servers and services within this location will be unavailable. We are performing multiple upgrades to our network including upgrading our router’s hardware, including a more powerful processor, more RAM, and heavily upgraded Intel Pro Fiber network cards. We are also implementing full DDOS protection for our entire US network, currently we rely on Level 3’s “on-call” protection which only activates when requested. Our full-time DDOS protection layer will always be running and always be working to improve the stability of our network.
During this time we will also be upgrading our MX01 Smartermail server to Server 2012 R2. This upgrade will bring performance improvements to SmarterMail’s services as well as improved webmail performance with IIS 8.5.
