The reason that this happens is when you purchased hosting from us using PayPal you most likely selected a “Subscription” based payment through PayPal. With this subscription, PayPal automatically sends payments to us and alerts our billing system. When you canceled or switched payment methods you did not terminate the subscription through PayPal.
